Underground Cellar



Duncan built the low energy underground cellar in 2001 – a much greener method (than that of artificial temperature control).

The average temperature in the cellar is 18C. The cellar has the capacity to store organic wine in oak casks for long periods of time.

The cellar is 20 metres long and 7 metres wide with a ceiling height of 4 metres.

The cellar is made of double brick with 100 mm concrete reinforced infill.
